Halloween Drinks Deals: Spooky Bottles, New Arrivals and Seven Cocktails on Film

The Halloween drinks deals have landed, and this year the range is doing most of the theming for you. Skulls, devils, ghost ships and a wine label full of actual convicts. Whether you are hosting, going out or handing sweets to strangers at the door, here is what to look out for in store.

Bottles That Look the Part

Dead Man’s Fingers Spiced Rum is £15.99, a saving of £7. Skull on the label, warm vanilla and spice inside, and the single best-looking bottle you can put on a Halloween drinks table. It also happens to be a genuinely good spiced rum, which helps.

19 Crimes Rosé, Chardonnay and Red are 2 for £15. The labels feature real convicts transported to Australia, and scanning them with the app brings the portraits to life. Few bottles start more conversations.

Diablo Dark Red is £8.99, down £1.70. Bold, dark and devilish enough for the occasion. It is also the base of the Devil’s Sangria, which is the easiest way to serve a crowd on the night.

Absolut Kaws is the limited edition worth spotting this month. The artist collaboration bottles always look striking, particularly under low light, and limited editions do not hang around.

New In and Back In

Baileys Chocolate Orange is back at £13.99. It disappears every year for a reason. Serve it over ice, pour it into coffee, or treat it as pudding.

Captain Morgan & Pepsi Cherry is brand new to the range, a ready-mixed spiced rum and cherry cola that needs nothing more than a glass of ice and a wedge of lime.

Captain Morgan 35cl is £9.49, and comes with a free pair of socks. Which is not the most Halloween thing on this list, but it is a good bottle price and the socks are free.

Beer and Cider

Ghost Ship from Adnams, Iron Maiden Trooper Ale and Trooper IPA are 3 for £7, all in 500ml. Ghost Ship is named after a haunted pub on the Suffolk coast, and the Trooper bottles come with Eddie on the label. Three ales that need no introduction and no decorating.

Crumpton Oaks pint cans are £3.99, which works out at £1 per pint. The value pick for a crowd, and cider is the natural Halloween choice given the apple connection.

Seven Halloween Cocktails, All on Film

If you want the drinks to do a bit more work, the Booze Bar has seven Halloween serves this year, and every single one comes with a step by step video. No guessing at measures, no vague instructions. Press play and pour along.

There are two jug serves for a full house, the Devil’s Sangria and Purple Rain, both made in about five minutes and left out for people to help themselves. The Zombie arrives in a skull glass with grenadine bleeding through it. The Poison Apple puts Fireball and cider together with edible glitter. The Vampire’s Kiss is closer to a dessert than a cocktail. Witches’ Gold is four ingredients and a cinnamon stick. And the Blood Orange Margarita is the sharp, grown-up one.
