Food and drinks pairings can be a little intimidating sometimes. So, to make things a little easier this Easter, here are a couple of ideas you can’t go wrong with, oh, and we threw in a cocktail recipe you’ll really want to try.
Remember though, there is really only one golden rule this Easter:
drink what ever YOU like.
Prefer leaner and lighter grilled meals?
Beer pairs well with grilled pork and chicken. And, for those who prefer wine, a crisp Rosé or Sauvignon Blanc will do the trick! You can also live a little and spice those dishes up!
The big flavour of roast meats really begs for red wine and picking one shouldn’t be tricky.
Malbec, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon are sure bets and for leaner cuts Pinot Noir or a Burgundy Red.
Cocktails are the perfect way to kick-off the egg hunt or to sip through brunch. So get ready to enjoy on a Long Island or maybe even indulge your sweet tooth with a creme egg cocktail.
A Long Island Ice Tea is equal parts of five different liquors: vodka, gin, rum, tequila, and triple sec, with a small amount of mixer, usually cola, rest assured, the flavours work. Stir one up and sip it slowly as you say hello to summer.
