It’s Barbeque Month

Here at Bargain Booze we know how much the UK loves sun, food and drinks, even more on a bank holiday. Well good news… it’s now officially barbeque month!
That’s right, get the burgers on the grill, the ciders poured and the music blaring. Whether you prefer chicken, falafel or beef burger… a hot dog, kebab or even a good ole’ corn on the cob, we have a drink that will go perfectly with your favourite BBQ foods.
Red meats – Fattier cuts of beef or lamb need bolder-flavoured reds with high tannin levels, such as cabernet sauvignon or shiraz.
Vegetarian – Mushrooms on the BBQ we recommend a drop of pinot noir. Grilled vegetables love a merlot, while vegetarian burgers are lovely with sauvignon blanc.
Pork – Whether you’re having a pork belly or smoky ribs, you can’t go wrong with a nice cool cider. When paired with prime rib or pork belly, spirit’s sour acidity from the corn mash cuts through the heavy swaths of caramelized fat.
Kebabs – Either a chicken, lamb or even halloumi, kebabs go with a range of wines. From Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot, to Malbec & Shiraz.
