Bargain Booze Ltd regards compliance with relevant environmental legislation and regulations, and the adoption of responsible standards where no legislation exists, as an integral part of its business strategy and is committed to considering the environmental impacts associated with its warehouse and transport services. Over the last few years we have almost completely moved away from landfill, and into recycling and recovery, which is contributing to a more environmental world. We are responsible for recycling in excess of 2,300 tons of paper products, 7,000 tons of glass, 700 tons of aluminium, 20 tons of steel, and 530 tons of plastic each year. We are also responsible for reducing our landfill in excess of 15,000 cubic yards each year.
Bargain Booze Ltd is committed to monitoring its environmental performance in line with the Environmental Agency. Environmental aspects are identified at business wide level and corresponding objectives and targets are set to reduce the significance of impacts in those areas. These will be reviewed on at least an annual basis to ensure continual improvement. We are gradually reducing our use of paper and hope to be a ‘paper free’ business in the not too distant future. We are also recycling print toner cartridges and anything else we feel will help with our overall goals, and are investigating the use of environmental lighting throughout the business.
